ALUMINUM PANEL SHOP DRAWING
REVIEW & ENGINEERING
Need stamped calculations for your panel system? We can typically turn projects around in
about one week.
Runkle Consulting, Inc. provides structural engineering for aluminum panel fabricators,
including shop drawing review, delegated design, and stamped calculations.
We understand the submittal process and work with you to get approvals quickly and keep
your project moving with a typical turnaround time of one week.

At Runkle Consulting, our structural engineers have extensive experience in evaluating ACM panel systems. We specialize in reviewing shop drawings and providing precise structural calculations for panels exposed to both wind and potential seismic loads. Our team has contributed to the design and analysis of buildings across the Eastern United States, including projects in Florida, Georgia, Texas, New York, North Carolina, and more.
Our Services
Review of shop drawings for structural adequacy
Wind load analysis in accordance with ASCE 7
Design of panel support systems and attachment methods
Connection design to the primary structure
Stamped structural calculations by a licensed Professional Engineer
Review comments and coordination during submittals
Responses to RFIs and revisions as required
ACM is frequently used in commercial and educational facilities, and our engineering team has worked on a wide range of structures, including schools, university buildings, office complexes, and hotels. Analysis of ACM panels must consider not only the behavior of the panels themselves but also of their connections. The primary loads on cladding panels come from wind, which can cause deflections and stresses in the panel’s face. The panels transfer these loads to their connections, and the pulling forces on screws from negative wind pressure is often the controlling element in a cladding system —a challenge our structural engineering experts are highly skilled at resolving.

Charles Holt, Our Panel and Cladding Specialist, applies his mathematics background and engineering expertise to analyze complex ACM systems with precision. Since joining Runkle Consulting in 2023, Charles has become a key resource in evaluating cladding & panel performance, verifying structural formulas, and ensuring reliable solutions for our projects.
